Summer is here and that means the Greatest Gaelic Games Summer Camp is nearly here. Bookings are well underway and places are filling fast so get in early and make sure those young family members don't miss out.
Boys and Girls from 5 to 13 are all welcome to take part in this two week fun packed schedule including hurling, football, camogie and handball. Participants will meet inter-county stars from both hurling and camogie and each willl recieve a special top class sports pack.
Applications and details can be downloaded above or from any juvenile coach and returned on or before June 22nd to be certain those much coveted sports packs are recieved in time.
Cost per child - €60 for 1 week or €90 for 2 weeks
On May the 20th the Ciara Lawlor Memorial will hold a walk in the Castle Park raising funds for Ataxia Foundation Ireland. The Lawlor Family have been great friends and supporters of O'Loughlin Gaels GAA & Camogie and the club now wishes to invite all members of the community to unite and support the Lawlor Family in this fundraising effort in Ciara's name . Ciara sadly was taken from us far too young..she is daughter to John & Eimear, sister to players Jack & Barry, cousin to Huw and friend to so many. Her presence around the club is missed by all who know her.
The Senior Players will Run the 5k distance at 10:30am on May 20th and invite all players, juvenile players and supporters from both the hurling and camogie clubs to join them to Run with Ciara and raise funds for the charity chosen by the Ciara Lawlor Memorial, Ataxia Foundation Ireland. Ciara's good friend from secondary school has Friedreich's Ataxia. (See more about Friedreich's Ataxia)

100% of all funds raised will be presented to the Lawlor Family on behalf of the club in order to be included in this fundraising effort for Ataxia Foundation Ireland
At Last years O'Loughlin Gaels GAA Race NIght Greyhound Trainer Sheilla H Devoy donated a young pup to O'LOughlin Gaels GAA Club in appreciation of all the support the club has given to Kilkenny Dog Track and Greyhound Racing over the years.
At 21 months the Dog is in great condition after been housed at Sheila Devoy's Ambitious Kennells in Laois to date.
The club now wish to put the Dog up for Auction and is opening bidding to all it's members for this fine specimen. Sired by a two time Irish Derby Finalist Ballymac Vic (Pictured above) who also won the Derby Consolation at his first attempt. This is a great opportunity for any club member or syndicate of members to own thier own dog and have some great evening's racing to enjoy.

Please review a letter and an application form that has been circulated to every primary and post primary school this week. Boys/girls in 6th class primary school and first year students in secondary school are eligible to apply for the 6 places that will be sponsored by the County Board. Anyone player interested is welcome to apply under the club name.
The Closing date for applications is the 4th of May and with the week allocated being July 15th to 29th. The value of the scholarship is €790.
It's back!. O'Loughling Gaels GAA & O'Loughlin Gaels Camogie Club will host a Juvenile Players Blitz with Easter Egg Hunt, BBQ & Raffle on March 31st. Last year's event was eggstraordinary...with dozens of young Gaels scrambling to find their prize. Tickets can be poached from team mentors at any juvenile training or from the bar.
