As numbers were limited 15 u8s represented O'Loughlin Gaels. From the off and true to current form our boys were relentless. Excellent skills were displayed by both sets of players showing that the game of hurling is in healthy stead going into the future. Eoghan O'Brien, Luke Hanrahan, Greg Kelly and Michael Lambert were power houses throughout the afternoon laying the foundations for an overall team performance. Conor Murphy, Eoghan O'Callaghan, Cormac Wall and Darragh Powell resisted the pressure applied by a tough Cranford team. Kirills Doubvijenko, Sean Morrissey and Charlie Roberts worked tirelessly to contribute to the teams success. Daniel Byrne and Daniel McCormack both struck the sliotar with ease moving it forward at every occasion. The score of the day, and one that amazed all present was from the brilliant Stephen Butler. A pick up on the run by Eoghan O'Brien, shifting two tackles and a high looping cross on his left was met in the sir by a deft touch from Stephens hurl and rattled the back of the net. It wasn't clear whether Eoin Larkin or Richie Power scored Kilkenny's decisive goal in Croke Park last week but there was no doubt that this one was score by Stephen Butler. Well done again boys. The lads continue with more games and prepare for a tournament in Ballycallan on Sunday. .
